Now I'm starting to think about things like body mass index, trying to look a little leaner.

Bill's cinch success started with a challenge from fellow Shaklee Member Leo Gallerano.

"He said if I stuck to the Cinch™ plan for 12 weeks and checked in with him weekly, he guaranteed I would have success and I would have my own story to tell," says Bill Burrows, a teacher and father of four.

Leo was right. Bill not only reached his goal, he surpassed it. And now, several months into the plan, Bill is 80 pounds and 12½ inches healthier.*

How did Leo's challenge inspire Bill? Well, here is Bill's story.

"My wife, Karen, and I attended a weekend workshop in Ft. Lauderdale where I heard Leo Gallerano and Michael Gallerano (Leo's cousin) speak about their success on the Cinch plan. I was inspired, but did not feel I would be a very good ambassador for Cinch since my weight had gone up to 315 pounds and my overall physical health was diminished."

Health issues led to a consultation with a doctor. "Things weren't terrible, but a heart specialist said,'You've definitely got to lose weight.' That was November, and even then I didn't get the wakeup call. I rationalized that it wasn't that bad."

It wasn't until he received an encouraging phone call from Leo that Bill was able to commit to a healthier lifestyle. "I said,'You know what? It's about time. I'm almost 55. I've got so much weight around my waist. My family is concerned about my health.' So finally I said,'I can do 12 weeks.'"

He began the Cinch Inch Loss Plan in March 2008 at 315 pounds; a few months later his weight had shrunk to 248. He has continued to lose weight, and having lost 80 lbs, has set his sights on reaching the century mark–an even 100 pounds off his starting weight–at which point he will "evaluate, and then just try to tone and reshape my body."*

"Now I'm starting to think about things like body mass index, trying to look a little leaner. I see weight around the middle that I can still get rid of."

And while the pounds have been dropping, the health benefits have been mounting.

"Because of my weight loss, my cholesterol is down to 160 and my blood pressure is 120-over-80." Another advantage of his new Cinch program for Bill has been the ability to sustain his energy. Bill was a starting defensive tackle for the Colgate University football team back in the 1970s. These days he is back to a more active lifestyle and you'll often find him in the weight room, on his bike, or occasionally on the golf course.

Bill's final advice?

"People who say any program is easy, that's misleading. If you've got the mindset that now is the time to make a change, you will see results with the Cinch Inch Loss Plan. I'd be very surprised if someone did everything they're told and did NOT see results."

Congratulations, Bill, on your tremendous success!
